Summary of the Gowise Air Fryer Oven
I was genuinely happy with the cooking results of the Gowise Air Fryer oven; the quality was good and the food was great. The build quality was good too aside from an oven door opening speed issue. I fully expect this Gowise air fryer oven to last many years. In view of the build, function and cooking results, it is definitely worth consideration.

Introduction
I was delighted when the Gowise air fryer oven arrived, a few delivery issues but it arrived. I’m really looking forward to seeing how this works for me.
Having had a air fryer for a period, I felt I needed something a little bigger and a little more versatile. I really did my research on what was out there…and this is what I ordered… Gowise USA air fryer oven 12.7 Quarts, 15-in-1 with electric rotisserie and dehydrator.
A real mouthful, but you understand that it claims to be very versatile with a load of functions. I can’t wait to really get in to the review. The rotisserie function looks impressive if it works as I think it will. The food dehydrator was my main driver. I’ve been looking at them for a while now so getting one integrated into another appliance is perfect.
An appliance that does a multitude of things is great. It saves money and it saves space. However, they really need to work as well, or close to, specific appliances that perform that task. Otherwise, it can be a false economy. I’m excited at the potential, I already have experience with a Gowise air fryer so I’m really hoping it at least matches my experience with that.
Unboxing the Gowise air fryer oven
I’m really excited at unboxing the Gowise air fryer oven. My expectations are high and i’ve already cleared the space for it.
The box is relatively simple in design but it is attractive. The air fryer oven was well secured within it so no complaints there. One thing is for sure, they fit quite a lot in a relatively small box. Kudos to Gowise for that, eliminating unnecessary packaging should be a priority for every manufacturer.
So, what do I get in the box?
- Air fryer oven
- Three trays
- Drip tray
- Basket
- Cylinder drum
- Rotisserie pieces
- Skewers
- Rotisserie steak cage
- Recipe book
Initial impressions of the Gowise air fryer oven
They are positive but the proof is always in the results. It has a comfortable weight to it and it feels pretty solid.
The front clear panel is plastic, I assumed it would be glass but when you open it, the inside is glass. Maybe they did that as a weight saving thing, but fine.
When you open it, one thing to pay attention to is the door. It is not counterbalanced in any kind of way so when you open it, keep hold of it until it is to the bottom. It is literally a hinge so don’t let it drop.
Moving onto the body of the oven, it has notches for three trays. These are interchangeable so you can customize them for whatever you are cooking. The drip tray only slots into the base and has a non-stick coating. The rest of the accessories are stainless steel.
Although I decided against ordering it, you do have the option of getting an additional accessory set. This contains a steel air basket, an 8” baking tray and a 6-piece bread toasting rack. I will see how I get on; I may get one in the future.
The recipe book looks nice too, nice pictures and easy to follow. It has 50 recipes in there and I would always recommend you try a couple of these. It helps you understand what the air fryer is capable of and how fast it cooks.
Overall, it seems quite nice. Modern looking and good quality. Once I have a go and see what it can do and how it performs, I will do a more in-depth review.
My in-depth review of the Gowise air fryer oven 12.7 qt
I’ve taken the time to have a closer look at the Gowise air fryer oven and I think I’m ready to give you a more detailed opinion. For those of you short of time, scroll down to the verdict.
Today, I will look at the build quality, the control panel and ease of use, how it cooked and finally, how I felt when I used it.
I will consider the price next. Is it good value all things considered?
Finally, I will give you my verdict as to whether you should consider buying this, and what other options you might want to consider.
Overview
I spent plenty of time researching this air fryer. I already have an air fryer, but I wanted more flexibility from it. I wanted it to do more things. I love the way air fryers cook and I’m happy with the results…I just needed it to be bigger too.
I came across the Gowise Air fryer oven. It looks like an oven but with the cooking technology of an air fryer. It seemed perfect and when you add in the fact that it is a rotisserie as well as a dehydrator, it seemed like a bargain.
The oven space is quite large…obviously much larger than my standard air fryer. I would describe the size as comparable to a large counter top oven.
One thing that you should bear in mind is the height of it. It is much taller than it is wide. This means that if you normally store things on it, you may not have that option. It also has what appears to be a vent on top so again, this must be kept clear when in operation.

Build quality
I always like to start a review with the build quality. It’s important because your appliance can take a battering over its life span. Having an appliance that is robust and built well is important…it is the very least you should expect.
Overall, I would rate the Gowise air fryer oven as well built. Everything was where it should be and well put together. I also like the fact it has a touch panel display without moving parts…less things that break is always a good thing, especially in a busy kitchen.
It feels solid with a nice weight to it. Not so heavy that you would struggle to move it, but heavy enough to feel reassuring.
I mentioned the door issue early on…you need to keep a hold of it when you open it. It is not a deal breaker but something you need to be mindful of. I wouldn’t want it slam it on the counter top. Hopefully, this will be addressed in future versions by Gowise USA.
Control panel
Touchscreen all the way here…a good thing. From a look’s perspective, it is a very clean and modern design…no fuss. Simply laid out and actually, it’s quite intuitive to get it started without reading the instruction manual.
I would always recommend that you take a few minutes to look through the manual, it can save a lot of headaches and deliver you better cooking results.
The panel itself has the preset options and the control options. The presets it offers are; fries, frozen foods, wings, pizza, steak, chicken, fish, vegetables, popcorn, rotisserie and bake.
As you can see…that is a massive amount of capabilities.
Add to that list, the dehydrate function, keep warm, defrost and let’s not forget the manual button for custom settings.
All this at the push of a couple of buttons…it’s amazing really.
I really have to mention one thing that started to irritate me after a while…the beeping. Every time you press the panel…it beeps. Every time!!! After a while, it began to annoy me as it is quite loud. I’m sure there must be a good reason for this…there might be a way of turning it off. If you find a way, let me know!
Cooking results
The strength of any appliance is always in the cooking results. I know it is easy to be distracted by a million functions and settings. At the end of the day, it really only comes down to the quality of the cooking.
Using the oven was relatively simple. I did need to look at a few things in the manual, especially when using the rotisserie function. There are a few bits and pieces which need to be put together and then slotted into the oven.
I used this Gowise air fryer oven cook a few different things based on the preset options. I started with some simple popcorn, threw in some chicken wings and finished with a rotisserie chicken.
One thing I didn’t look at was the dehydrate function, I didn’t really have anything at hand. I will update this aspect at a later date. Based on how other things worked, I fully expect this to work well.
I have to say that I was impressed with the results. Given that it is a much bigger air fryer than you would normally use, I thought that it may be weaker or slower. It wasn’t, it performed exactly how it should.
The Rotisserie chicken was cooked beautifully…first time too. It was succulent and there was a very nice crisp to the outside. Given how little effort it involved, the results were excellent. I love my Dutch ovens and I regularly roast a chicken. It also means I can cook a bucket load of veggies at the same time. However, it can take a few hours. If I just want the chicken, then this is a better and quicker option.
The chicken wings came out well…in the end. Using the preset, they came out looking a little insipid. It lacked the color that a good chicken wing has. The solution was to put it back in the oven for another 5 minutes…perfect.
The only really disappointing aspect was the popcorn. Obviously, this is not a deal breaker…it’s popcorn. You can do it in the microwave in two minutes. It took a long time…15 minutes or so. I also couldn’t quite workout what you put them in…no mention in the instructions. I ended up using rotisserie cylinder. Overall took too long and too much fuss. Use the microwave.
Overall, I was happy with the results. It performed in areas where it matters so it must be rated highly here.
Price
The price is always subjective as it always come down to the individual. Obviously, it is more expensive than a standard air fryer.
However, given the number of functions it has, the number of appliances it can take over and the size of it, I think it represents good value. I noticed that prices can fluctuate so its worth checking the latest price below on Amazon.
How does the Gowise air fryer oven make me feel?
I always like to put the emotion back into cooking. It’s important to connect with your food. With that in mind, how did it make me feel using this Gowise air fryer oven?
Confident. My initial cooking tests made me feel that way. The quality and the efficiency were good. I fully expect that whatever goes in there, will come out the other end well cooked….aside from popcorn!
What else should I consider?
Overall, I like the concept here…an air fryer with more room and more functions. It isn’t the only one on the market, some other brands have their own versions which I have linked to here.
Verdict on the Gowise Air Fryer oven review
The results and in…and it is a recommend. Let me explain why. My old air fryer is great, it does a wonderful job all round…but it’s too small. This Gowise power air fryer oven solves that issue for me without sacrificing and quality in the cooking ability.
Add into the fact that it has a number of other quite impressive functions, you can see why so many people are attracted to it. It certainly has a place in the market…people like me I assume.
It is a little more expensive than the smaller air fryers, but when I bought mine, I justified it looking at what other things it did. The Rotisserie function and the dehydrator were the deciding factors for me.
Overall, I recommend this…but only if you feel that you will make most out of the other functions too. If you can get away with having a smaller air fryer, then it is probably better to do that. If you want a larger air fryer and more functions, the Gowise air fryer oven will do the job.
Since you are here…can i ask you a favor?
It would be really nice if you could share this image on social media…it’s just a couple of clicks for you but it means the world to me.
Thank you so much,
