Design
The design of the Cozyna air fryer is what you might describe as functional. It is what it is…simplicity at its best. When I say it wont wing any awards for design, it really mean it.
Having said that, it is intuitive. You can literally take this out of the box and start using it within minutes. There is something to be admired about that in a field where most manufacturers are somehow making the simplest of appliances, very difficult to use.
You can therefore deduce that I think that the Cozyna serves a purpose with a specific market. It will look out of place in some homes, but for the most part, it will look fine.
It is also not an intricate machine. You don’t need tiny fingers to work the dials. Everything is easy to find and easy to adjust.
Robustness
I discussed the simplicity above which leads us to the robustness of the Cozyna air fryer. I think it is safe to say that it is very robust.
The dials feel smooth yet solid, a reassuring feel to them.
In the reviews, there have been some concerns raised about the quality of the body. However, looking at the Cozyna in front of me, I can’t see any issues and I don’t envisage them.
It may well have just been a below par batch which happens to the best of companies. You will however be satisfied by their warranty and if you buy it from a retailer like Amazon, you have access to their support too.
The accessories that came in the box as well as the tray were all well made so again, no issues here regarding quality.
Functionality
This is probably the simplest machine I will ever review. There really is not a lot to it. No presets, no complicated processes… just simplicity itself.
We are literally talking about a couple of dials… the timer and the heat. It’s fantastic! A complete throwback to when things were just simple.
It does have safety features built in. Principally, it will not function unless the basket is in place and the tray door closed properly.
Does it get hot like some other air fryers? While cooking, it does give some heat through the plastics which is to be expected. However, this is nothing unusual and is nothing to be concerned about.
Cooking quality
In all the reviews I do, I think I always cook to test the ability pf the air fryer is air fryer French fries. I do this for a number of reasons. Firstly, it allows me to judge the air fryer consistently against all the models that I test.
The main reason is that a good air fryer French fry is important! It is the basic expectation I have.
The Cozyna air fryer did not disappoint. I preheated it first and 20 minutes later, the fries were cooked perfectly. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The coloring was great too, so all things considered, the air fryer by Cozyna passed the French fry test.
What other Air fryers should I consider?
This air fryer does exactly what it says on the tin. It is simplicity itself so if that is your primary objective, then you will be happy with this.
I am always asked about simple appliances for our elders. They need that simplicity rather than a multitude of touchscreen options that confuse the best of us. This machine is more than suitable for that market.
Having said that, this is a very competitive market and the competition is high. At this price point, you will have plenty of options. You only need to take one look at Amazon to see the bewildering array of air fryers on offer.
Personally, I have reviewed many air fryers and my personal favorite remains the Cosori 6 qt air fryer. It does cost a touch more but it does meet my specific needs.
If you want to consider a comparative air fryer, I would suggest that you take a look at the Gowise and Gourmia air fryer ranges.
What does Cozyna air fryer come with?
The Cozyna air fryer comes with the basics only. By all means, you can upgrade accessories which are available separately.
Included in the box is the air fryer, basket and a recipe book to get you started.
How to use the Cozyna air fryer
This air fryer is as simple as it gets. Once you place your food into the basket and close the door, simply turn the dial at the top to set the temperature. Then, simply set the timer on the front and you are good to go.
As with all air fryers, you get better results when you preheat them. The food is just better at the end. With the Cozyna, the orange light goes off when it is up to temperature.
All in all, you should have absolutely no issues getting started with this machine.
You will however need to know what temperature and for how long you need to cook things. Remember, the Cozyna does not have any pre-programmed presets.
How to clean Cozyna air fryer
The Cozyna air fryer needs to be cleaned before the first use. You can simply use a damp cloth to do that. The basket can be washed in soapy water. Ensure everything is dry before the first use. You need to do this because most machines have a protective coating on the plastic.
If you do not go through this process, chances are that there will be a burnt plastic smell coming from your air fryer. This will however stop after the first few uses.

What about Cozyna vs Philips air fryer?
They operate in very different market segments. The quality and performance of the Philips will not be matched by the Cozyna. However, there is obviously a price difference between the two. The Philips obviously aimed at the premium end of the air fryer market.

My summary of the Cozyna Air Fryer
If simplicity is what you want, at a budget price, you can’t go far wrong. It really is what it is, no bells and whistles to distract. This is straight up basic performance that delivers.
Would I buy it? Personally, I look for a bit more so it would not really be to my liking. However, it will be to some and for them it is more than acceptable.
I would however recommend that you shop around as there are plenty of options at this price point. This includes some major brands too and maybe even air fryers that offer a little more functionality for the same money.
