How to make air fryer zucchini fries
Method
This recipe is as simple as it gets…its basic. Here, i have washed sliced one pound of zucchini into rounds. They are about a half inch thick. I have then patted it down with a paper towel.
Remember, that you can slice the zucchini as you like, so it doesn’t really matter if you slice rounds or cut batons.

Remember, the water content of zucchini is very high…it is principally water. In order to cook it well without it turning to mush, we need to remove as much water as we can.

Once we have patted the zucchini down, we then add the tablespoon of olive oil.

We then add the salt and pepper. Then using our hands, we mix the contents well ensuring that all the zucchini is covered in olive oil.
You can add any spices you wish at this stage. Whether it is paprika, cumin, turmeric, thyme, coriander…the choice is yours!

For this example, i am using an air fryer oven…but a normal air fryer works just as well. The primary advantage of using the oven is that i can cook more at the same time.
In your preheated air fryer, cook them at 425 F for 10 minutes, then flip the contents over. Cook for another 5 – 10 mins depending on how much browning you want.

Out of the air fryer oven they come…just how i like them. Wonderfully crispy, perfect with a dipping sauce.

Look at the final result, these air fryer zucchini chips look absolutely delicious. The coloring looks so appetizing and the plate dressed with some chopped herbs make it look so welcoming.
Add a little dipping sauce, you have the perfect combination for an afternoon snack…and it takes so little effort and time to complete.
