FAQ’s

Do air fryer potato wedges have to be a certain thickness?

No, you can cut your potatoes whatever thickness you want. However, please consider that that the thicker your potato, the longer it will take to cook. You should also cut your potatoes the same thickness so that they cook evenly.

Do I need to spray oil to the potato wedges or do I pour it into the bottom?

You can do either. Personally, I like to coat the potatoes with oil before I place them into the air fryer basket. I find that this gives the best coating. You can of course use spray cooking oil or just pour it into the base of the air fryer.

How long do potato wedges in air fryer take on average?

They can take up to 15 minutes to cook…less if they are thin, potentially more if you cook them thickly.

Do all air fryers take the same time to cook?

No, some air fryers are more powerful than others and therefore more efficient. You have probably already noticed how your air fryer performs when compared to recipes. Getting to know your air fryers performance helps you judge cooking times better.

Does the air fryer potato wedges method produce the best results?

I find that it does…but you will be the ultimate judge of that!

How long to cook breaded potato wedges in an air fryer?

They take exactly the same as normal wedges…up to 15 minutes at 400F.

Hopefully, you are in a better place than when you started reading this recipe. If you are unsure about which method to choose, I suggest that you select the first method. It is the simplest to do and will let you test how the potatoes taste.

One thing is for sure, there should be little to stifle your creativity. Why not experiment with your favorite flavors? The worst that can happen is that you have tossed a potato into the rubbish!
