Is my air fryer dishwasher safe? It is a question that I get asked occasionally and one that often leads to some confusion.

The issue is regarding what aspect id
dishwasher safe. All manufacturers…including Philips, Ninja, Power, Cosori,
Dash etc will refer to their air fryers as dishwasher safe.

I just need to clarify before we go into
depth on the issue, that the manufacturers are NOT talking about the
whole air fryer unit. That would be crazy given that it is an electrical
appliance.

It’s obvious isn’t it? You would be
surprised how many times I have been asked that question.

Again, to be clear, the main body of the
air fryer is not dishwasher safe.

The only aspect of your air fryer that is dishwasher safe, is the removable aspects of it. That essentially means the air fryer basket and the pull out tray.

You can also include any accessories in
this answer. They are considered dishwasher safe.

The simple answer is that you can clean
your air fryer basket in your dishwasher. I know it is so easy to put it in
with the rest of your dishes.

It is convenient and easy. The real
question is whether you should be doing this.

The problem is this…your dishwasher
normally uses very hot water to get your dishes clean. Its how they work.

This can have a dramatic impact on the
lifespan of the air fryer basket.

What aspect of the air fryer is dishwasher safe?
