Digital panel<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
One thing that I have noted over time is the need for a\ndigital panel. Not only does it give more accuracy, importantly, the print does\nnot wear off like they do on manual control panels. You should really opt for a\ndigital panel for this reason. On manual ones, they can be really difficult to\noperate with the writing that isn\u2019t fully legible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
So, the panel\u2026you can use in two different ways. The first\nway is to set the time and temperature. On most of them, the time and\ntemperature go up in ten-minute increments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The other way is presets\u2026convenient for most. It takes the\nguess work out of it for you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Vents<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
The hot air is dissipated through vents in the back and to\nthe side. The air is hot so you really need to set the machine up in a place\nwhere it has room to \u2018breathe\u2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Start\/ Stop<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
If you want to check on the progress of cooked food, you can\nsimply pull the basket out. They have an auto stop function so the unit will\nstop. However, not all models have a resume function so you may have to reset\nthe temperature and time. The better ones just resume where they left off. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the Gowise, if you simply want to check the food, simply\npull the basket out. If you want to turn it off, you need to press the power\nbutton first\u2026then pull the basket out. If you don\u2019t do this, it will resume\ncooking. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Baskets <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
The baskets pull straight out of the air fryers. They are\nconstructed in two parts\u2026the base and the basket which has the handle\nintegrated. There is a button and catch at the top which prevents them from\nseparating. You need to press down on the button to separate the two. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The baskets have holes in the bottom and vents to the side.\nThis is what allows the air to circulate rapidly within them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A great tip to remember is that if you are cooking food that\nproduces a lot of grease, line the base pan with foil or add some water. The\ngrease will drip down into it but the clean up of the air fryer will be so much\nsimpler. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
One thing I really like about the Gowise baskets is the\nsmall holes in the basket. On some other brands, they are much larger which\nmeans food can fall through into the base section. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The small holes also mean you can put a trivet or a rack in\nthem to double the surface area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dimensions<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
On most Air fryers, they will tell you what size it is in\nquarts. This is not necessarily the important thing as what matters more is the\nsurface area. It is better for the basket to be wider than taller as it means\nmore surface area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
